LifeLog Technology

• Summary: The objective of this session is to facilitate intellectual exchange on current research activities towards building lifelog of one's daily activities and ralationships. Lifelogging ones life is an ambitious goal envisioned by Vannevar Bush's 1945 Memex vision including full-text search, text and audio annotations, and hyperlinks.

Target tracking in clutter with image information

• Summary: This session deal with new technologies in this field such as analysis of IR spectral transmission characteristics, target detection and classification in clutter, and multi-sensor image fusion for improved tracking.

The underwater acoustic multisensor fusion and integration for intelligent systems

• Summary: The subject of underwater acoustic intelligent systems encompasses a variety of application including acoustic communication, the detection and location of surface and subsurface objects, depth sounders, subbottom profiling for seismic exploration, an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) which travels underwater and the Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV) which extends knowledge and control of the undersea battle space through the employment of clandestine off-board sensors.
